Server Instructions- decided to put directions in the school folders, and send teachers usernames and passwords for students and teachers.
Hardware repair update- No major problems reported
LER organization & Printers – No major problems reported
Student Skill worksheets
May 7th, Skill checklist workday for committee– (check to make sure Lexia won’t be used in all buildings, which ties up all the laptops).
Reviewed plan: teacher uses checklists, gives one grade on report card for technology; checklist is placed in CUM file.

*Want to make sure middle school and high school teachers, as well as elementary teachers, have content specific/age appropriate workshops offered to them.
Lexia – It’s a great program, but it is making it hard for anyone else to use the laptops for anything other than Lexia. On Fridays – special Ed and title one uses them.
Brainstorm Solutions – wired labs, more labs, more computers, classroom computers?

Update on hardware for next year:
Older MLTI laptops will be sold to 2009 grads first, then 2010 grads, etc. until gone for price district purchased them. All will be sold “as is”.
iBooks on carts at HS now will be issued to teachers grades PK-6. The remaining laptops will replace the older laptops in the second carts in each school.
After skill checklists are made, activity cards will be developed for classroom teachers to use – model simple lessons for beginners to go with skill checklists.
