1. Standards Based Grading:
K-5 Health
Meggan Henerlau reported that she will need the Health Standards on class folder in order to start. Laurie Malcolm and Mary Ellen Gilbert said the same thing. Anthony will check on this with Mr. Tuttle.
6-8 PE Paula said her and Drew have been doing standards since the 3rd Quarter. Paula has gotten few calls from parents. Things are generally going well. Have been working with Lisa to iron out some glitches.
9-12 Health and PE – no standards based grading. Significant glitch in the system is preventing the HS from moving forward.
K-5 PE – No Report
2. Fitness Scores:
K-5 will be meeting with Paula on 5/21 early release to use the Fitnessgram on the computer. Thanks Paula for helping.
6-8 Fitness Scores are nearly done – now that the HRMs are in the pacer can be completed.
9-12 All 1st Semester scores are handed into Anthony. Second semester post-test scores will be given to Anthony soon. We had a discussion about the need to send Anthony an electronic list of students and how they performed on each fitness test. Anthony will be getting the Pearson training next week and it would be exciting to utilize these numbers.
Laurie will contact Polar to see if we can export electronically.
3. Sun Safety
We agreed to order the sun safety bracelets but have teachers put them together with the kids. The bands will be longer. Anthony will also order posters for everyone. We will also try to order enough for MS and the sophomores that Doug has. Doug will look for some posters the next few days.
