Gardiner Area High School

Nestled on a hill along the banks of Maine's Kennebec River, GAHS serves 660 students from the surrounding towns of Gardiner, Pittston, Randolph, and West Gardiner. Our school is part of Maine School Administrative District #11 which maintains the schools in the Gardiner area.

GAHS Top Jazz Musician

Congratulations to Senior Mike Caliandro who represented Gardiner High School at the Jazz All State Music Festival this past weekend at Scarborough High School. Mike was one of the 47 top instrumental jazz musicians and 30 vocal jazz musicians in the State who were accepted to this Festival. Congratulations to Mike on a great accomplishment and for representing Gardiner High School so well! This past weekend's concert was recorded by MPBN and will air sometime in February or March. Keep an eye out for the broadcast and watch Mike in action!

GAHS Scholarship Winners

Gardiner Area High School hosted their 8th annual Scholarship Reception on Wednesday, January 4, 2012. This event serves as an avenue for scholarship sponsors and their recipients to meet. The 24 recipients attending shared their first semester experiences with their sponsors as well as parents, school board members, and faculty and staff. We feel very fortunate at GAHS that we have a very strong sponsor base supporting our seniors each year. The combined total scholarships offered amount to over $70,000.

Progress reports

Progress reports are being mailed out December 2. Please expect them in your mail boxes on Saturday and Monday. If you have signed up for electronic mailings/notifications you will not receive a US Postal mailing. Please continue to check the Powerschool website for your child(ren) grades and attendance!
