CORE VALUES @ G.R.M.S.
GARDINER REGIONAL MIDDLE SCHOOL CORE VALUES
Each month a team from within the building creates a bulletin board theme to demonstrate the G.R.M.S. Core Value for that month. The month of May Core Value is "Service". The Core Values are as follows:
RESPECT: Respectful people have confidence in their own beliefs and values and acknowledge, understand and support the rights of others. They act to preserve and honor people and property.
RESPONSIBILITY: Accountable, responsible people consider and accept the impact and consequences of their personal actions and decisions.
POSITIVE ATTITUDE: People with positive attitudes know and understand that all things are more easily accomplished with positive participation,
“good faith” effort and smile.
KINDNESS: Kind people show concern for the well being of themselves, others and the environment. Kindness is shown through patience, compassion, generosity and service.
TOLERANCE: Tolerant people have an awareness of and acknowledge and appreciate others who have beliefs, talents, and backgrounds that are different from their own.
INTEGRITY: People with integrity behave and act in polite ways that agree with their personal and school values.
TRUSTWORTHINESS: People worthy of trust keep promise; see their commitments through and live and behave by the spirit as the letter of an
agreement.
PURSUIT OF QUALITY: People who pursue quality take pride in their work, give their best efforts, reflect on the results of their work and apply what they have learned to future tasks.
SERVICE: People who serve know that they can enrich their lives by
giving back to their community and their school through volunteering and active
participation in events that improve the quality of life for someone else.
SELF CONFIDENCE: People with self-confidence value themselves, think and act independently to make good choices based on their ultimate well-
being.
