Read-a-thon 2010
Our annual Read-a-thon, which is organized by the GEPTA, ended today with our awards assembly. All students who participated received a certificate and pencil. Students reading 1,000 minutes or more received a trophy...and an ice cream party! Then the GEPTA awarded students from each grade level who were the top readers! Each of these students read more than 2,000 minutes on their own.
Final Count: Hats for Haiti Day!
Laura Richards School community has been participating in a coin drive during the month of February. All the money will be sent to the American Red Cross at the end of the month to help the victims of the earthquake. The jar has filled twice!! Mrs. Brown's class alone collected $153.00! Another student gave all her birthday money, which totalled $30.00!!
