This course will deal with the dangers, prevention and removal of viruses and spyware; cleaning up files and folders that may be slowing down your work; defragging your drive; the importance of windows updates and using the system restore function. Enjoy the environment, people and animals of Tanzania (Tangarire National Park, Ngorngoro Crater, Serengeti National Park, and Zanzibar) from the comfort of your chair! Join Paula Collier for a multi media presentation of an African Safari from last fall. See a variety of animals in their natural environment, learn a few Swahili words, sample some African dishes and add spice to your life with a visit to Zanzibar, the Spice Islands. This is a free presentation with donations of $5.00 accepted and appreciated for Overseas Adventure Travel, an organization that builds schools in Tanzania. Gardiner High School Room 117

Kids Online: What's Going On? Wednesday March 10th

What's up with Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, and many other social networking sites that are dominating kids' lives today? This two-hour session will expose you to a multitude of websites and will address internet safety in our 21st century world. Kids are connected all of the time with their cell phones, ipods, and laptop computers. What are they doing? Where are they going? How are they communicating with the outside world? This fun and fast paced session will be hands-on and will help you have the information needed to initiate important discussions with your child. Gardiner High School Room 117

See CATS with US!

Experience the magic, the mystery, the memories of CATS. We’ll journey to Boston on Concord Coach Lines from the Portland Transportation Center. Our 11:40 am South Station arrival is a short walk, subway ride or taxi to the theater district where you will have time for lunch before the 2:00 pm matinee at the Colonial Theater. Our return should bring us back into Portland at 8:10 pm. Car-pooling from Gardiner to Portland will be arranged. Registration includes Concord Coach Lines fare and show ticket. All meals are on your own. Please register by March 15th.
