Students will need to describe each of the 3 branches of government in Maine, the members, and duties of each branch. Students will also need to understand the system of "checks and balances" in Maine's government. Finally, students will have to be familiar with Maine's "Bill of Rights" and how these rights are important to the citizens of Maine.
