Technology Skills
Skill checklists can go on back of report card (if info fits)?
Students will be given one standard grade for technology
Timeline – this coming Fall
Example: SBG - “Uses technology at appropriate level to meet grade level
expectations” (ON REPORT CARDS).

Proposal - Skill checklist from each grade will be put in cum folder.

A Sub-committee (Viens, DeSoto, Galibois-Barss, Tarrio, McGuire, and Foster) was formed to work on the skill checklists and to get them into a teacher friendly format. The group proposed a full day of work (subs to be hired) on Feb. 5th.

Typing –
We need to put more emphasis on this. Words per minute (rubric) for each grade level, with an emphasis at what grade level?
A lengthy discussion about what grade level to teach typing was held. Lisa Foster reported that the middle school schedule could change, which might (or might not) allow more time. The conversation is to be continued.

Tech Camp – proposal – make it a graduate course.
The committee decided not to move the tech camp in this direction. Enrollment in the past 2 tech camps has been good and survey results show that teachers are learning well in this format.
