The teacher will provide students with an ad portraying a "perfect adolescent body image" generated by the media. These ads can be found in any type of teen magazine. Examples of ads might include clothes products, hair products, or an adolescent with a muscular structure for males or perfect body diminsions for females. Extension: Students will analyze the ad to look specifically at the messages the media sends adolescents regarding health behaviors and body image.
