My Physical Fitness Plan
Students will participate in a physical fitness test (Fitnessgram). From participating in a physical fitness test, students will record their results on the recording sheets. Utilizing the healthy fitness zones established by the chosen fitness test, students will assess their fitness levels for each subtest (flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance and body mass as optional) and determine if their levels are in the strength or area of improvement category. Students will develop personal goals for two of the four health-related components of fitness (Aerobic Capacity will be one goal unless exempted by teacher). For the two components, the student will also include a personal physical activity goal. Students will keep an activity log for two weeks recording the variety of physical activities that will maintain or improve the two components of health-related fitness and accomplishing established personal goals.
