Book Swap 2008

No, books don't grow on trees! So our Gardiner Elementary Parent Teacher Association organized a book swap! Students brought in used books that they had outgrown or no longer wanted. They received a voucher which allowed them to swap their number of books for books that other students also brought in. This event was a lot of fun and totally encouraged students to "read, read, read!" This event occurred during our Read-a-thon fund raiser and at the beginning of February break. Students who participated had a wealth of "new" books and were motivated to read them over their break! Students and families also enjoyed making bookmarks and a snack. Thank you once again to our hard working GEPTA volunteers for taking their time to organize this event! It was AWESOME!
