Message from our principal, Judi Morin:
Spring is just around the corner!
With the promise of better weather we may be looking at our bikes and dreaming of the moment we can feel the warmth of the sun on our faces as we pedal around. In planning for that experience to be happy and healthy, we thank our Gardiner Parent Teacher Association for sharing the following information that helps secure a safe helmet for any student.
The Brain Injury Association of Maine has teamed with Marden's stores to provide children in Maine with free bicycle
helmets. The event will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at any of the following
Marden's Stores: Presque Isle, Calais, Brewer, Waterville, Lewiston, and Sanford.
This public health concern ranks as the leading cause of death and disability in children and young adults, according to the association.
