Curves and MSAD 11 Support Local Food Banks
During the month of March, Curves of Gardiner and the schools of MSAD 11 will participate in the 11th Annual Curves Food Drive to benefit local food banks. Collectively, over the past five years, nearly 50 million pounds of food were distributed to local communities all over the world through the Curves Food Drive. Students can help out by bringing non-perishable items into school to be collected at the front office during the last two weeks of March. Last year Curves of Gardiner collected 1,200 pounds of food and this year with the help of the schools we hope to collect even more. "The Curves Food Drive is always a great success," said Jessica Clark, the owner of the Gardiner club, located at 35 Bridge St. "We all have a chance to help so many people at a time when the food banks are lowest. Especially during these uncertain times, this food is needed more than ever. It’s a win-win situation for everyone, and we’re very proud to participate." Food or monetary donations may also be dropped off at Curves. For more information, please call Jessica Clark at 207-582-6461.
