2009-2010 Budget Information

Below is information regarding the proposed 2009-2010 Budget...
The EPS vs MSAD 11 attachment shows how we compare to what the State says we should have for student teacher ratios.
The two proposed budgets show the tax impact with and without Federal Stimulus money. Neither contains money we will hopefully receive in State reimbursement for the 2008-2009 mid-year cut the State bestowed upon us ($178,000) nor the amount the Maine State Retirement System owes us by law ($90,000).
MSAD 11 spends LESS per pupil than 85% of the other School Districts in the State, and 60% of our budget is State funded (vs 40% State funding for the average School District).
To get an idea of what that means, instead of the approximately $7.2 million MSAD 11 taxpayers currently pay, we all would have to pay approximately $14 million if we were an "average" District.
We are very lucky to live where we live!!
