MINUTES

Present: Steve Hunnewell, Richard Heath, Diane Potter, Sarah Ricker, Candace Avery, Paul Knowles, Becky Fles, Howie Tuttle

NCLB Oversight Discussion

Mr. Tuttle explained and discussed the current and proposed projects for the No Child Left Behind Grants (Title I, Title IIA, Title IID, Title IV, Title V, Title IV Rural, Title I ARRA Stimulus Funds.)

• Discussion about the possibility of a Gardiner Regional Middle School Title I program.
• Discussion about using Title I ARRA funds for programs that help students in the long term, but do not create a funding problem in two years.
• Discussion about academic performance of current Title I students.
• Discussion about adding the Read 180 curriculum to Title I programming.
• Discussion about programs that help our dropout rates and use of Title IV funds.
• Discussion about computer aided technology, literacy initiative, and curriculum improvement.
• Discussion about Title I parent involvement.
• Discussion about use of Title IID funding and LCD projector plan.
• Discussion about Title I parent involvement policies.
