SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

March 13, 2007
5:30 p.m.

PRESENT:Mrs. Paradee, Chair, Mr. Rogers, Vice-Chair, Mrs. Avery, Mr. Chase, Mrs. Dunn, Mrs. Fles (5:36 p.m.), Mr. Hunnewell, Mr. Jermyn, Mrs. Kelley, Mrs. Shaw, Mr. Shea, Dr. Knowles, Mrs. Leathers, James Schwellenbach, Esq.

OTHERS: Mr. Kempton, Ms. Pare, Officer Harwood

Candace Avery and Michael Chase, newly elected members from the Town of Randolph, were sworn in before the meeting by Norine Leathers, Notary Public.

Mrs. Paradee called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and declared a quorum present.

VOTED:Motion by Mrs. Dunn, seconded by Mr. Shea to go into executive session at 5:35 p.m.,
10 – 0 pursuant to 1 M.R.S.A. § 405(6)(B) to discuss the expulsion of a student. The Board reconvened at 6:20 p.m.

VOTED: Motion by Mrs. Dunn, seconded by Mr. Rogers that the School Board expel the student
10 – 1 under consideration, effective immediately; that the student not be allowed on school grounds without the written permission of the Superintendent; and that the Superintendent provide the student and parents with the Board’s written findings and decision.

VOTED: Motion by Mrs. Dunn, seconded by Mr. Jermyn to go into executive session at 6:30 p.m.
11 -0 pursuant to 1 M.R.S.A. § 405(6)(B) to discuss the expulsion of a student. The Board reconvened at 7:10 p.m.

VOTED: Motion by Mrs. Dunn, seconded by Mr. Rogers that the School Board expel the student
11 – 0 under consideration, effective immediately; that the student not be allowed on school grounds without the written permission of the Superintendent; and that the
Superintendent provide the student and parents with the Board’s written findings and decision.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
