Hello students, parents, and community members:
On Wednesday, March 14, students and staff at Gardiner Area High School will have an opportunity to participate in the National Walkout event that is being facilitated by high school students around the country. Our event will be held in our gymnasium, starting at 10am, and ending at 10:20 am. During the 20 minutes we will recognize the 17 victims of the recent school shooting in Florida, two students will each read a poem, and all participants will have an opportunity to write a message that will be sent to Parkland High School. Participation is optional for both students and staff.
The focus of this event is to support school safety. It is not a protest and it is not politically driven. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
