What are your plans for after high school (college, major, job, etc.)? - I would like to perform. I want to study theatre arts and get more involved with musical theatre and performance.
What honors festival have you participated in? - Jazz All State, District III, and All State.
What is your favorite piece(s) that you’ve performed in high school? - The Awakening, Africa, and Free Ride
What is your favorite musical moment in high school? - My favorite musical moment was doing the annual musicals. They are so much fun for me since I love to sing and act!
How has being involved in the high school music department impacted you? - It has made me understand music in such a different way. I used to just hear music and think nothing of it - now I am always listening for chord progressions and I listen to the words and take in what they mean. I am so grateful for all of the education I have received while attending Gardiner Area High School and working with Mr. Walker.
What words of wisdom would you share with the underclassmen music students? - Listen to your teachers. They know what's best for you a lot of the time. Be a good influence on others and perform with courage. Love each other like you are brothers and sisters, because that's what you are. You may argue, you may cry, but in the end, learn to love.
