Community Engagement Night* will be held to share with students, parents, and members of our communities about the community proposed School Based Health Center, which will “bring” healthcare services to students. Hosted by the community formed School Based Health Center Advisory Board, this board has membership from the healthcare field, the community, and MSAD 11 staff.

• Why do we need a school-based health center at GAHS?
• What will the school-based health center provide to students and families?

Earlier this week Maine DOE shared a Priority Notice regarding increased risk of mosquito borne illnesses in several Maine counties, including Kennebec. Following the DOE recommendations we are sharing this notice with families and are encouraging precautions to mitigate risk.
In addition, each school will have appropriate repellent available and with written request from parent or guardian, it may be applied by the school nurse.
