What are your plans for after high school (college, major, job, etc.)? - After graduating from high school, I am going to college to get a bachelor’s degree in interior design with a minor in business.
What is your favorite piece(s) that you’ve performed in high school? - I loved playing September last year in jazz ensemble. My favorite piece in chorus would be from this year with the piece Modimo.
What is your favorite musical moment in high school? - One of my favorite moments with the music department was when one of my friends, Rénee, and I were able to sing together last year in Pizazz.
How has being involved in the high school music department impacted you? - Being a member of this music department has given me the opportunity to meet great friends and have somewhere I can always come back to even once I’ve graduated. It has also made me realize my love for music that I will never give up on!
What words of wisdom would you share with the underclassmen music students? - I would tell them to sing and play loud and proud because you know more and are better than you may think you are, don’t be scared to be wrong. Take risks with your music; audition for an honors festival or try out for select choir because the more you do the better you will get and the happier you will be throughout your entire high school career. You may not have another chance!
