What are your plans for after high school (college, major, job, etc.)? - I plan to attend The University of Maine to get my Bachelor's degree.
What is your favorite piece(s) that you’ve performed in high school? - My favorite piece was the jazz ensemble's performance of “Hooked on a Feeling”!
What is your favorite musical moment in high school? - My favorite musical moment in high school was when we were practicing Christmas songs in band. In one of the songs the trombone section was supposed to stand up for dramatic effect. I was the only one that stood up and I was applauded for it only to have Walker remind me that I hadn’t turned in my Jazz folder yet. That was a funny moment!
How has being involved in the high school music department impacted you? - Being involved in the high school music department was just part of my daily schedule. It's something that's always just been there for me. If there was a year I wasn't in band it would not be a normal year and nothing would feel right. Every time I walk into the music room it feels like home! There have been a lot of good times I’ve had in there between pep band, concert band, and jazz ensemble. From all my experiences I had, good and bad I wouldn't want to change anything!
What words of wisdom would you share with the underclassmen music students? - If anything goes wrong during band blame it on the trumpet section! It is always their fault. Also, the Trombone section is awesome!
