What are your plans for after high school (college, major, job, etc.)? - I will be attending The University of Maine this fall. I have been accepted into the nursing program where I will be obtaining a bachelor’s degree.
What honors festival have you participated in? - District III Honors Festival Chorus, All State Honors Festival Chorus, & Jazz All State Honors Festival Chorus.
What is your favorite piece(s) that you’ve performed in high school? - For chorus my favorite pieces are “The Awakening”, “Let The River Run” and “The Jabberwocky”. For band, my favorite pieces are “Sweet Caroline” and “Shout It Out!”.
What is your favorite musical moment in high school? - My favorite musical moments in high school were when we would play the Beach Ball game in Chorus, and when I finally got to hear the sound of the full chorus after waiting for around 14 months to hear that sound due to the pandemic.
How has being involved in the high school music department impacted you? - My participation in the music department has taught me how to use my voice both figuratively and literally. My involvement has helped me become more confident, focused, and a better leader. I have also learned over the years that music truly is my passion and my stress reliever.
What words of wisdom would you share with the underclassmen music students? - Have fun, play and sing every song as if it is the last time you would ever play and/or sing it. Also, the trumpet section is always going to be better than the trombone section no matter what they say. (Sorry Trombones)
