Number of years in Band and/or Chorus (Elementary through High School) - 8

Instrument(s) you play in Band and/or your vocal part in Chorus - Flute

What are your plans for after high school (college, major, job, etc.)? - I plan on attending college and eventually graduating medical school. My biggest goal for the future is to become a doctor.

What is your favorite piece(s) that you’ve performed in high school? - The Polar Express and Harry At Hogwarts.

What is your favorite musical moment in high school? - My favorite musical moment was definitely our trip to Washington DC!  Playing in front of the Lincoln Memorial was an amazing once and a life time experience and being able to explore Washington, DC with my closest friends is something I will never forget!

How has being involved in the high school music department impacted you? - Being involved in the music department throughout high school has given me the opportunity to make lasting memories with some of my best friends. It's greatly expanded my knowledge of music which I have found useful in my life outside of school. A few years ago I started playing guitar. The background I've gained from band, being able to read and understand music, made learning a new instrument monumentally easier. Also being involved in band has always just been really fun and enjoyable for me.

What words of wisdom would you share with the underclassmen music students? - My biggest piece of advice would be to appreciate pep band football games! Get involved, sing really loud, and don't be afraid to look a little ridiculous. You're going to miss it once you leave high school.

Congratulations, Hannah!  Thank you for your dedication to the band and for sharing your musical talents with us for all of these years!!
