Message from the Principal

Greetings PRCS Families,

It’s hard to believe that August is already here! With it comes the excitement (and sometimes nerves!) of a new school year on the horizon. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself—or reintroduce myself to some—as the new Principal of Pittston-Randolph Consolidated School. It is truly an honor to join this wonderful community, and I am thrilled to begin this journey with all of you.

I hope this message finds you enjoying a restful and rejuvenating summer. As a parent or guardian, I understand that this season often brings anticipation and questions about the year ahead. Please know that I am here to partner with you every step of the way.

With 17 years in education—as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and building leader—I bring a deep commitment to fostering a school environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to grow. Of all the roles I’ve held, serving as an elementary principal has been the most fulfilling. It allows me to collaborate daily with passionate educators while staying closely connected to students’ learning and development.

I believe strongly that every child can excel—and that a strong partnership between home and school helps build the confidence students need to shape their future and positively impact the world around them.

I’m excited to begin building relationships grounded in trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. As your new principal, I believe that all voices matter, and I want to learn from you. To provide our students with the best possible experience, it’s essential that I understand our current strengths, identify areas for growth, and gather feedback on key aspects of our school community.

To that end, I invite and encourage you to complete a short survey which can be found using the QR code provided. Your feedback will help guide future decisions and initiatives as we work together to create an exceptional learning environment for every child.

Please know that all responses will be kept confidential to encourage honest and open feedback. I appreciate your willingness to take a few minutes to share your thoughts.

In the coming weeks, you can expect to receive a formal “Welcome Back” letter, along with your child’s class placement, teacher welcome letters, and other important information to help you prepare for the year ahead. To help kick off the school year, we will also be hosting a Back-to-School Open House on Thursday, August 28th, from 4:00–5:00 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity to connect in person before the first day of school. More details about the event will be shared soon.

In the meantime, I wish you and your family a safe, fun-filled remainder of the summer. I’m looking forward to an incredible year of learning and growth. I can't wait to meet you and your children!

Warmly,

Elizabeth Drolet, Ed.D
Principal
