Good morning again. Unfortunately, the temperature is still too low to make it safe to drive or walk to school. The roads and walkways are very icy, and because it’s so cold, the salt isn’t melting the ice. Because of this, today will be a remote learning day in MSAD11. Your child’s teacher and principal have already shared details about remote learning. If you have any questions, please email your child’s teacher or principal. The Central Office will open at noon today.

Hello HT families!! The HT PTG is excited to let you know that MAC’s popcorn orders are arriving this week! The PTG elves will be sorting and packing up orders at the school on Thursday evening from 5-7 and if that time frame works for you to pick up your order we will be in the lobby outside the gym (enter through the gym/cafeteria doors). Not to worry though if this day/time does not work for you- we will set another evening next week that we can be available for pick ups. If your student/child only has a few bags in their order we will send them home from school with them on Friday. If you have any concerns or questions please email us at helenathompsonpta@gmail.com. Thank you all for your continued support and we hope you enjoy your popcorn!

The GAHS Civil Rights Team visited second grade and gave an interactive presentation about kindness and how to stand up for classmates who might be experiencing unkindness. The students played games and learned about the power they have to lift each other up. A HUGE thank you to this stellar group of high school students for generously sharing their energy and time creating and delivering such an engaging, thought-provoking, and action-oriented presentation.

Good afternoon, this is Pat Hopkins, MSAD 11 Superintendent of Schools. I want to inform you that the community safety concern that prompted the lock-in procedures at all our schools has been fully resolved. As a result, the lock-in has been lifted, and all schools have returned to their regular schedules. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time, as the safety of our school community remains our highest priority. Enjoy the remainder of your day.

Good morning, this is Pat Hopkins, MSAD 11 Superintendent of Schools. Due to a known safety concern within the community, all schools are not permitting anyone entrance into our school buildings. Students and staff are able to walk freely throughout the building as the safety concern is not directed at the school, but within our community. This is only being done as a precautionary measure. No threat has been made against any student, staff, or school building. As soon as we are notified that the safety concern has been addressed, the ‘lock in’ will be lifted and families will be notified. Thank you for your understanding.
