First Meeting of GEPTA Tonight! GEPTA (Gardiner Elementary Parent Teacher Association) will be holding the first meeting of the 25/26 SY tonight at LER in the library starting at 6pm.

Dear Families,

This week we will begin our iReady testing! iReady is our district math assessment that takes place three times each year—in the fall, winter, and spring. It is an important part of our math program and supports student learning in a couple of key ways:

Helps teachers differentiate: The results give teachers valuable information about where each student is, so they can tailor instruction to individual needs.

Creates a personalized learning path: The assessment sets up each student’s MyPath program, which is the online component of our math curriculum. Students work at their own pace in MyPath, and our goal is for them to complete about 45 minutes per week and successfully pass 1–2 lessons each week.

It’s important that students do their very best on the iReady test so their MyPath program is set at the right level for them.

The months of September and October also have students and teachers engaging in several different diagnostic tests - NWEA ELA (grade 2), Early Bird (PreK-1), Concepts of Print (K-1). These tools provide valuable information about student strengths and areas of learning focus that teachers use to help guide instruction and plan for appropriate scaffolding of lessons. It is important for students to come to school consistently and on-time, with a healthy snack to support brain function and plenty of sleep the night before.

On Tuesday, August 12, there will be an increased police presence at Gardiner Area High School as part of scheduled law enforcement training exercises. This is a planned activity and there is no cause for concern. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Volunteers are needed for Field Day! We have rescheduled to Wednesday, June 11th, and need more volunteers! If you are able to join us, please check in at the office starting at 8:20 for set up. Field Day is scheduled to run until 11:00.

The Tiger Food Pantry will be open again this summer, and is open to all MSAD11 students and their families. Gardiner Area High School: 40 West Hill Road Gardiner, ME Clothing donations will be accepted on July 16th and 21st, and August 18. If you have questions, please call (207) 582-3150 ext. 3313 and leave a message with your name and contact number. Times and dates are subject to change due to weather, illness, school closings, etc. If we need to close, a sign will be put on the High School door and a message will be posted to the Facebook page. MSAD #11 Transportation Newsletter ~ June, 2025

Students will be able to shop the book fair during their class library time from 5/27-6/4. You may send money in with your student in an envelope marked Book Fair or add funds to their E-wallet through Scholastic.

Our June menu

Wednesday, May 21st, is an Early Release Day in MSAD #11! Parent pick-up will begin at about 11:50 and bus students will be dismissed at about noon.
