GAHS Parent Teacher Conferences March 2022
Dear Parent/guardian,
Our spring Parent Teacher Conferences will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 4pm to 7pm and Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 12pm to 3pm in person.
Each conference will be ten minutes. If you find that you need more time to discuss your child with any of their teachers, additional time can be arranged with individual teachers to do so.
Our school is using PTCFast.com to make sign-ups for Parent Teacher Conference as convenient as possible. Please enter the following web address into your browser window:
https://ptcfast.com/schools/Gardiner_Area_High_School
Once you are on the website you can select your student(s) teachers, please select ALL teachers you will want to see. Then hit “submit”. You will then be asked if these conferences are for one student or multiple students. If it is for multiple students, please complete the name of each student. Then register your name and contact information. This creates a registration for each conference and sends you a confirmation email with a link to choose appointment times.
Please keep in mind the location of classes when scheduling. You may want to give yourself a time slot between conference sessions to give yourself time to walk from each conference to the next.
•English, Health, Career Education, Social Studies, and World Languages are in the C-Wing (right).
•Math, Alternative Education, Media, JMG, and Science are in the T-Wing (left).
•Learning Center, Library, Guidance, Arts, PE & the Nurse are in the A-Wing (central building)
If you have trouble scheduling your conferences please contact Christina Riddle via phone at 207-582-3150 X3002 or criddle@msad11.org to assist you in scheduling.
Best Regards, Chad Kempton, Principal, Gardiner Area High School

Class of 2022 Cap & Gown Payment due

Thank you Gardiner community for your gratitude and support! Our front lobby looks festive and the staff is very appreciative of the kind words and sweet treat!

Good morning again. This is Pat Hopkins, MSAD 11 Superintendent of Schools. Unfortunately, it appears that I will need to cancel school today after all. While the main roads are fine, many of the side roads and the parking areas at the schools are extremely icy due to the packed snow from the last storm making it unsafe for our buses and vehicles to travel on. If you have to drive, please be safe. The Central Office will open at 10 am.

Good morning. This is Pat Hopkins, MSAD 11 Superintendent of Schools. As of right now, there will be a 2 hour delay this morning due to the freezing rain and road conditions. I am monitoring the situation and if the conditions do not improve to safely place buses and vehicles on the road, this delay could turn into a cancellation. If this should happen, another message will be communicated to families and staff around 6:30 am. Thank you and be safe.

Congratulations to Maleah Manson for being selected as a January Professional of the Month at the Capital Area Technical Center! Maleah is junior at Gardiner Area High School and is enrolled in the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. Maleah has enjoyed learning in the lab, then applying those skills she learned in her clinical experiences. She says she loves her classmates that come from different high schools because they have a shared interest in the medical field. Her instructor, Mrs. Bethany Gilliam, said, "Maleah is a wonderful addition to the CNA program. She is friendly, intelligent, task oriented, and helps remind her classmates of upcoming events. I am certain Maleah will achieve any and all goals that she sets for herself." When she is not in school, Maleah has a part-time job and also competes on an All-Star Cheerleading team. Maleah has a long term goal of becoming a Registered Nurse Anesthetist.

Tonight's ( Friday 2/4/22) performance of Mamma Mia is postponed to Sunday at 1pm due to current weather and road conditions. Please contact gardinermusical@gmail.com for ticket information. Please help share the information!
