Good morning, this is Pat Hopkins, MSAD 11 Superintendent of Schools. Due to a known safety concern within the community, all schools are not permitting anyone entrance into our school buildings. Students and staff are able to walk freely throughout the building as the safety concern is not directed at the school, but within our community. This is only being done as a precautionary measure. No threat has been made against any student, staff, or school building. As soon as we are notified that the safety concern has been addressed, the ‘lock in’ will be lifted and families will be notified. Thank you for your understanding.

On November 6th , Mr. Walker’s Theater Tech class took a field trip to Johnson Hall to learn about the newly renovated theater and its state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems. It was a tremendous opportunity to learn about all that went into the design and installation of these systems and then to be able to experience both the systems in-person. Mr. Walker and the students would like to thank Mike Miclon, Executive Artistic Director at Johnson Hall, for opening his doors to us and providing this awesome opportunity! The students and Mr. Walker also want to thank Pat O’Donnell, Vice President of Stone Mountain System, who designed and installed the lighting and sound systems for Johnson Hall for coming to share his wealth of knowledge and experience about the systems that are there. His sharing with the group about his design of the systems and his company’s installation as well as the capabilities of all the components and fixtures was excellent! All who were on the field trip had a great time!

Attention Families: We've had several issues at recent football games involving unsupervised minors and misbehavior. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we're asking all families to supervise their children throughout the event. Please note that backpacks are not permitted within the complex, and we ask everyone to respect cordoned-off areas and remain within the Hoch Field complex. Additionally, no one should be on the baseball field or in any blocked-off areas. Thank you for your cooperation and assistance in helping us maintain a safe environment for all.
